1. Who we are

This site is published at louvreprivate.tours and can be reached at hi@louvreprivate.tours. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using it.

2. We are not the Louvre

louvreprivate.tours is an independent visitor guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by the Musée du Louvre or any public body. The official website of the museum is louvre.fr and its official ticket shop is ticketlouvre.fr.

Names, trade marks and images of the museum and of third-party operators are used for identification and editorial comment only, and remain the property of their owners.

3. We do not sell tickets or tours

No transaction takes place on this site. We do not take bookings or payments, we hold no reservations, and we cannot amend or cancel anything you have booked elsewhere. When you follow a link to a booking platform or an operator, you are contracting with them and their terms apply, not ours.

4. Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously. Prices, opening hours and admission rules are taken from the museum’s own website and published with the date we checked them; tour details are taken from the operator or platform at the time of writing.

Nonetheless, this information changes without notice and may be out of date when you read it. Opening hours shift, rooms close, prices rise and tours are withdrawn. Always confirm anything that matters — particularly prices, hours and closures — with louvre.fr or with the operator, before you travel or pay. We give no warranty that the content is complete, current or error-free, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it.

5. Opinions are opinions

Reviews, rankings and recommendations on this site are editorial opinion based on published information and our own visits. Ratings and review counts attributed to booking platforms are those platforms’ figures, reported as such. Your experience of a tour may differ from ours.

6. Affiliate links

Some links to tours and tickets are affiliate links, principally to GetYourGuide. If you book after following one, we may receive a commission from the platform. You pay the same price either way — the commission comes from the platform’s margin.

Affiliate links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" and pass through a redirect on this domain so that they can be maintained centrally. Commission does not determine our rankings or recommendations; our editorial policy is set out on the about page.

7. Third-party content

Some pages embed booking widgets served by GetYourGuide. That content is supplied and controlled by GetYourGuide, is subject to their terms and privacy policy, and may be unavailable or show different prices from our text. We are not responsible for the content of external sites we link to.

8. Intellectual property

The text, structure and design of this site are our copyright. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link. You may not republish pages in whole or in substantial part, including for the training of automated systems, without written permission.

Photographs are a separate matter. Most images are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and are either in the public domain or licensed under Creative Commons terms. Each page credits the photographer and the specific licence. If you reuse an image, comply with that licence — not with this section.

9. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or reproduce it in a way that suggests affiliation with us or with the museum.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of France have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
